About the role

  • Analyze existing transportation and distribution systems of clients and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop strategies to enhance transportation models for the timely and cost-efficient delivery of goods.
  • Design and recommend innovative transportation solutions tailored towards the clients' needs.
  • Utilize simulation and modeling tools to test proposed transportation networks, present possible scenarios, and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Leverage data analytics for understanding and predicting transport trends and advising accordingly.
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to understand their requirements and provide progress updates.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on the proposed solutions, analysis findings, and recommendations to clients.
  • Recommend strategies that promote sustainability and reduce the environmental impact of transportation activities.
  • Create visualizations of KPIs & alerts using any tool.
  • Track, report, and analyze key performance indicators of client supply chains.
  • Develop training materials and implementation guides for clients to facilitate transition to new supply chain structures.

Requirements

  • At least 3-8 years within the relevant domain of logistics handling multi-modal transportation across industries.
  • Work experience providing solutions in a commercial setting.
  • Good to have knowledge of R/Python, SQL, Excel, any BI tool (Tableau/Qlikview/Power BI/Alteryx).
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate insights.
  • Effective communication skills and experience in the client-facing role are required.
  • MBA (Supply Chain/ Operations) from Tier-1/2 institutes with 5-10 years of relevant business/consulting experience in logistics function is crucial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in greenfield analysis, network optimization and design consulting.
  • Proficiency in SAP TMS, BY TMS, Infor TMS, Cargo wise and other relevant TMS.
  • Strong understanding of different modes of transportation (Air, Sea(LCL/FCL), Road(LTL/FTL), Rail, Parcel).
