About the role
- Own and manage the day-to-day delivery of eDiscovery engagements and managed services, from intake through production
- Provide operational leadership across multiple concurrent matters
- Lead, supervise, and mentor eDiscovery project managers, analysts, managed review teams, and global delivery resources
- Act as the primary escalation point for delivery issues, capacity constraints, quality concerns, and client-facing risks
- Oversee matter intake, resourcing, prioritization, and workload balancing across the eDiscovery portfolio
- Maintain accountability for service quality, timelines, and cost management
- Partner with engagement leaders, clients, and legal counsel to provide status reporting, strategic guidance, and operational recommendations
- Drive continuous improvement of eDiscovery processes, technology utilization, and delivery models
- Support the ongoing development and maturity of the eDiscovery managed services offering
- Contribute to hiring, onboarding, training, and development of eDiscovery resources
Requirements
- 6+ years of progressive experience in eDiscovery
- 2+ years management of complex or large-scale matters
- Experience delivering eDiscovery services in a managed services or operational leadership context
- Hands-on experience with leading eDiscovery platforms (e.g., Relativity, Nuix, eCapture, EnCase or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of eDiscovery lifecycle, defensibility requirements, data privacy, and information governance considerations
- Effective written and oral communication to articulate complex issues in easy terms for various non-technical stakeholders
- Proven project and operational management skills, including scope, cost, timeline, and quality control
- Experience managing client-facing delivery and supporting senior engagement leaders
- Relevant eDiscovery certifications or advanced education considered an asset
