About the role
- lead tax compliance and advisory engagements for hedge fund, private equity, and mutual fund clients
- address complex federal, international, state and local tax issues
- implement tax strategies aligned with client objectives
- manage tax compliance accounts
- review securities analyses and making tax adjustments
- oversee the production of K‑1s and partnership returns
- evaluate partnership agreements and private placement memorandums for tax implications
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience
- An advanced degree in tax or law and a minimum of 4 years of related work experience
- CPA license or a licensed Attorney is required
- Familiarity with the financial services industry gained through direct involvement with managed investment vehicles
- Broad exposure to federal income taxation and exposure to state and local tax
