About the role
- Manage internal teams, stakeholders and clients, ensuring the UK tax compliance deliverable is delivered on time and to a high standard of quality.
- Apply your technical knowledge to engagements / clients to produce strategic outcomes to complex issues.
- Anchor a book of business by delivering a high quality work product efficiently, managing risk.
- Develop clear plans to improve engagement economics.
- Drive margin outcomes through effective utilization of self and team.
- Provide meaningful business insights to clients and onshore teams.
- Identify potential opportunities for clients and potential additional opportunities that can be serviced from GDS.
- Build relationships with onshore teams and demonstrate technical expertise and sector knowledge.
- Supervise a motivated team of professionals, ensuring they have skills and knowledge to reach full potential.
- Lead end to end tax compliance cycle of the engagement and collaborate with teams across EY.
- Participate in marketplace activities to expand professional network and contribute to the growth of practice.
Requirements
- 8 - 13 years of experience working in UK Tax environment.
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
- Could be a certified ATT, CTA, ACCA.
- Strong tax technical knowledge of UK Corporate Tax.
- A proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organisation.
- Awareness of other taxes in the UK.
- Ability to read, interpret and apply the tax legislation.
