About the role

Support EY as a key legal advisor on the review and negotiation of strategic transactions
Provide strategic advice working closely with our business teams
Assess, review and negotiate contracts with a technology focus
Provide support in deploying, licensing and leveraging generative AI and other technologies
Advise on key contractual terms and assess legal/business risks
Analyze complex issues, problem solve and provide practical solutions
Provide legal expertise on special projects
Manage external counsel

J.D. or LLB from a recognized law school
Member in good standing of a law society in any Canadian Province
Minimum of 5 – 7 years of post-call commercial and technology contracting experience
Strong analytical skills and common-sense approach utilized to provide practical, strategic advice
Strong negotiation skills that advance business objectives
Superior writing, drafting and communication skills
Ability to commute to one of our Canadian offices
