  • We are seeking an experienced and motivated HVAC Design Discipline Lead to take ownership of the technical area.
  • Responsibilities: Lead and manage the technical discipline, acting as the go-to expert for HVAC.
  • Drive training and capability development within the team, fostering a strong learning culture.
  • Implement and uphold discipline-specific quality standards, tools, and best practices.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to engineers and designers to support professional growth.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure effective integration of discipline-specific inputs.
  • Act as a key technical interface with clients, providing support and assurance across projects.
  • Contribute to resource planning, recruitment, and succession within the discipline.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, STEM, or equivalent professional qualification/experience.
  • Essential skills Strong understanding of Class & Flag Requirements
  • Strong technical background in marine engineering with a focus on HVAC.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing others.
  • Excellent communication and client engagement skills.
  • Commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and innovation.
  • Experience in Design working / leading on Naval or Commercial Marine projects (preferably naval shipbuilding projects/alternatively new build or major conversion packages) or similar, preferably T26.
