About the role
- Serve as the first marketing hire, owning the end-to-end marketing function and help define what “great marketing” looks like at Passage.
- Partner closely with the CEO and sales leadership to shape our overall go-to-market strategy, priorities and roadmap.
- Build the foundation for a scalable marketing function, including processes, tools, and ways of working.
- Help define the future structure of the marketing team and hire additional roles over time.
- Balance hands-on execution with growing responsibility as the team and company scale.
- Own and evolve Passage’s positioning and messaging, ensuring our value is clear, differentiated, and resonates with the buyers we care about.
- Translate customer insight, market dynamics, and competitive context into crisp value propositions and narratives.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality messaging across campaigns, outbound efforts, website, and customer communications.
- Lead messaging and execution for product launches, major feature releases, and new market expansions.
- Lead marketing’s contribution to demand generation and pipeline growth in close partnership with Sales.
- Help define goals and priorities for pipeline-driving initiatives and campaigns.
- Partner with Sales to ensure messaging and campaigns support pipeline and conversion.
- Turn messaging into sales-ready materials including pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, proof points, and enablement tools that help deals move faster.
- Develop and evolve a multi-channel marketing strategy across lifecycle, content, events, partnerships, and paid channels.
- Launch and manage campaigns across channels, rolling up your sleeves early to execute directly.
- Test, measure, and optimize channels based on performance and impact on pipeline.
- Balance near-term execution with longer-term investments in scalable growth channels.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing, with hands-on ownership across product marketing and early-stage growth initiatives.
- Experience serving as an early or first marketing hire, or in a role with comparable ownership where you built foundational marketing programs from scratch.
- Proven ability to craft and evolve positioning and messaging for complex technology products.
- Strong track record of partnering with sales to create materials that actually move the revenue needle.
- Experience launching and iterating on demand generation efforts across various channels.
- Comfort working directly with executive leadership and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communicator with a bias toward customer insight—comfortable talking to customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders.
- High ownership mindset: scrappy, proactive, and energized by ambiguity.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- A personal connection to autism or autism care is a plus.
