About the role
- Expand and lead Expel's global commercial sales engineering organization
- Manage existing sales engineers and grow and strengthen the team
- Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to support sales and close deals
- Ensure capabilities provided by Expel are accurately and effectively mapped to customer needs during the sales process
- Ensure team has technical resources to qualify success and use PoVs as springboard for customer success
- Equip Customer Success organization to provide long-term customer success
- Craft the team to scale using understanding of service delivery and management
- Mentor team members and manage customer service and escalation support
- Coach team to be scrappy and know when Expel can stretch to meet customer needs
Requirements
- Strong customer relationship and people skills as well as strong written communication and presentation skills
- Experience in security operations, incident response, and associated processes
- Solid understanding of data analysis and performance/operational metrics and statistics
- Experience partnering with sales and partner enablement teams
- Ability to mentor team members through difficult customer scenarios
- Experience managing a team at a company with up to or past $500M ARR
- 3+ years experience in sales engineering with at least 2-3 years managing a sales engineering team
- Authorized to work in the United States (we do not currently sponsor immigration visas)
