About the role

  • Develop and enhance Expana’s data platform and self‑service capabilities.
  • Build and maintain reliable data pipelines, including automated ingestion and web scraping.
  • Optimise cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred) and ensure platform stability.
  • Create automation that streamlines workflows and reduces manual effort.
  • Embed strong security and compliance practices.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve data systems.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analytics engineers, and analysts to deliver scalable solutions.

Requirements

  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Strong programming skills, ideally in Python.
  • Familiarity with modern data engineering tools and CI/CD workflows.
  • A structured, reliable approach to testing, automation, and system design.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently on complex projects.
  • Adaptability, curiosity, and a drive to improve systems and processes.
  • Bonus: Experience with web scraping and automated data ingestion.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience delivering data engineering projects end‑to‑end.
