About the role

  • Plan and allocate discipline resources to projects.
  • Work closely with project managers to monitor budgets, schedules and quality.
  • Track performance indicators and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, partners and other internal disciplines.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical practices.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and initiate preventive measures.
  • Provide technical leadership for electrical switchgear projects.
  • Mentor and support engineers and technicians in the design, verification and implementation of technical solutions.
  • Oversee technical reviews and ensure compliance with applicable standards and codes.
  • Participate in recruitment, onboarding and development of team members.
  • Evaluate performance and support employees' career progression.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation and knowledge sharing.
  • Manage project budgets to achieve expected results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including some experience in engineering consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of standards and codes applicable to electrical switchgear.
  • Proven experience with medium and high voltage systems, including Hydro-Québec specifications.
  • Technical leadership, strong organizational skills and ability to mobilize a team.
