About the role
- Interact with insurance clients regularly, understand requirements and transform into business frameworks and advanced analytics solutions
- Engage senior client leadership and manage client relationships
- Manage a large team of analytics professionals (data scientists, data engineers, data analysts, visualisation specialists)
- Initiate and lead process transformation initiatives and continuous improvement
- Provide regular coaching to team on people management and advanced analytical concepts
- Create thought leadership in data and analytics including data management, machine learning, AI and Generative AI
- Assist in learning and development of team members and participate in recruiting and career management
- Support new business development by assessing client pain areas and generating solutions
- Manage client engagements with P&L responsibility and dual-shore interactions
- Ensure compliance with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of experience in Advanced Analytics
- 5+ years of experience in Insurance domain
- Experience of working in international markets such as Australia, UK preferred
- Expertise in analytics, machine learning, advanced statistical techniques, AI, and data engineering
- Strong solution development mindset and ability to present to senior leadership
- Strong technical, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good command of the English language
- Ability to work in new business development and assess client pain areas
- Expertise in analytical tools: Python, R, SAS, SQL
- Experience in dual shore engagement and managing clients directly and P&L responsibility
- Managerial experience in leading analytics teams, including career management of offshore staff, training, recruiting
- Ability to understand cross cultural differences and work with clients across the globe
- Familiarity with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines compliance
- Bachelor’s/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas (BA/BS from top tier institutions also welcome)
