About the role

  • Produce exploratory analysis, reporting, and visualizations to drive decision making and deliver actionable recommendations
  • Collaborate with business partners to identify and deliver reporting and analytics capabilities to drive performance
  • Act as subject matter expert in business area's data; optimize core metrics and establish analytic operations
  • Collect, manipulate, and analyze complex datasets; use BI tools and collaborate with analytics engineering to deploy solutions
  • Prepare and present reports and visualizations to cross-departmental teams; champion data quality and monitor published data sources
  • Support, optimize, and develop new analytics processes and participate in cross-departmental projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, economics, computer science, information management, statistics, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or related professional work experience
  • 5+ years' data analytics and reporting experience
  • Past work experience in financial services is a plus, especially knowledge of annuity and wealth management products
  • Ability to gain in-depth understanding of company products and services and market differentiation
  • Strong understanding of applicable business concepts, metrics, processes, and systems for business domain(s)
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a time sensitive, production environment
  • Skilled in data mining technologies such as: Alteryx, R, Python, SQL, SAS
  • Ability to interpret data models in conjunction with exploratory analysis of a database
  • In-depth knowledge of key data within a specific data domain and/or business unit, SME knowledge on one or more source systems
  • Knowledge of logical and physical data models and data storage tools such as Snowflake and SQL Server
  • Skilled in BI applications such as PowerBI and Tableau
  • Ability to communicate analytics in layperson’s terms and strong presentation skills
