About the role

  • Manage business relationship, understand business strategy and needs and create a trusted partnership
  • Participate in business planning discussions and provide guidance and recommendations
  • Define and size business opportunities/problems solved through analytics and/or data
  • Design analytical and/or data solutions using descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive techniques
  • Develop analytics and/or data roadmaps to support business strategy
  • Plan, prioritize, and translate needs of the business to deliver analytics and/or data solutions through cross functional execution
  • Lead analytics structure and priorities for a specific business area and provide data driven insights
  • Oversight of core metrics and KPIs, forecasts, and historical performance for business areas
  • Work with data & engineering teams to translate business data requirements into data model relationships
  • Prepare professional presentations, reports, or visualizations and present to cross-departmental teams and leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, economics, computer science, information management, statistics, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or related professional work experience
  • 7+ years’ data analytics experience
  • Expert business acumen and analysis skills
  • Expert understanding of products/services in own area and knowledge of those in other areas
  • Strong understanding of applicable business concepts, metrics, processes, and systems for business area(s)
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a time sensitive, production environment
  • Skilled in data mining technologies such as: Alteryx, R, Python, SQL, SAS
  • In-depth knowledge of key data across multiple data domains and or business units
  • Advanced ability to translate complex business requirements into logical data model
  • Skilled in BI applications such as PowerBI
  • Ability to communicate analytics in layperson’s terms and strong presentation skills
