About the role
- Plan, organize and lead all building and equipment maintenance activities.
- Supervise and motivate employees to promote engagement and morale.
- Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance tasks are completed while minimizing operating costs.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety and regulatory standards.
- Identify employee development needs and follow up to maximize performance.
- Encourage employee accountability and engagement in daily operational management.
- Actively participate in operational follow-up meetings and communicate progress toward objectives and corrective actions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of technical areas and work zones.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance methods and work organization.
Requirements
- College or university diploma in building engineering, industrial maintenance, or another combination of education and relevant experience.
- 3 to 4 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
- Experience supervising employees.
- Experience in a unionized environment (asset).
- Interpersonal skills, leadership, autonomy and strong organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Lean practices (asset).
- Ability to manage change and work in a dynamic environment.
- Comfortable with computer systems (MS Office, SAP or equivalent).
- Fluency in French (spoken and written) and functional knowledge of English (asset).
