About the role

  • Plan, organize and lead all building and equipment maintenance activities.
  • Supervise and motivate employees to promote engagement and morale.
  • Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance tasks are completed while minimizing operating costs.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety and regulatory standards.
  • Identify employee development needs and follow up to maximize performance.
  • Encourage employee accountability and engagement in daily operational management.
  • Actively participate in operational follow-up meetings and communicate progress toward objectives and corrective actions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of technical areas and work zones.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance methods and work organization.

Requirements

  • College or university diploma in building engineering, industrial maintenance, or another combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 3 to 4 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
  • Experience supervising employees.
  • Experience in a unionized environment (asset).
  • Interpersonal skills, leadership, autonomy and strong organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Lean practices (asset).
  • Ability to manage change and work in a dynamic environment.
  • Comfortable with computer systems (MS Office, SAP or equivalent).
  • Fluency in French (spoken and written) and functional knowledge of English (asset).
