About the role
- Own the full Accounts Payable lifecycle from invoice intake through payment, including vendor management, contract tracking, and administration of Corporate Card and T&E programs
- Review work performed by the AP Analyst while maintaining accountability for AP accuracy, controls, and process improvements
- Serve as primary finance business partner to Marketing, ensuring proper expense classification, accruals, and reporting
- Perform key month-end close responsibilities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
- Own GL areas including accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets
- Maintain monthly bookkeeping for the Canadian and Indian entities and prepare intercompany entries across U.S., Canada, and India entities
- Prepare and assist with quarterly / annual tax filings
- Support the annual audit by preparing schedules and documentation
- Identify opportunities to automate workflows, improve processes, and strengthen internal controls
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- CPA designation or equivalent preferred
- 3-5 years of professional work experience
- Highly proficient in Google Sheets/Excel
- Direct ERP experience required, NetSuite preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, concepts, and professional judgment, with exposure to US GAAP as an asset
- Prior experience with B2B SaaS business models or experience working in a high growth environment preferred
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve goals, with a proactive approach to tasks
- Critical thinker capable of anticipating and overcoming obstacles, open to exploring alternative solutions
- Exceptional attention to detail, with outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
