About the role
- design and lead research that blends quantitative analysis with qualitative storytelling
- partner with ML engineers and data scientists for model training and optimization
- study user interpretation of algorithmic recommendations and ad placements
- combine attitudinal and behavioral data to identify opportunities for improvement
- develop evaluation frameworks combining quantitative and human experience metrics
- communicate insights through engaging storytelling
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience influencing product decisions
- fluency in both human stories and statistical models
- experience with qualitative and quantitative user research methods
- experience with database querying (BigQuery / SQL)
- familiarity with statistical programming (R, Python) and advanced analytics
- familiarity with AI-powered products
- understanding of human-in-the-loop workflows, reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF), or model interpretability
- collaboration across disciplines with machine learning engineers, designers, and product managers
