About the role
- Own Eastern market strategy across ERCOT, MISO, and SPP
- Lead origination and power marketing efforts for esVolta’s Eastern portfolio
- Build, own, and expand key customer relationships
- Lead structuring, negotiation, and execution of physical and financial offtake agreements
- Guide greenfield development strategy
- Support M&A efforts to align project pipeline with market strategy
- Lead cross-functional financial modeling efforts
- Represent the company externally at key industry engagements
- Present to the Board and investment committee on key approvals
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in the power and utilities sector
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
- Deep knowledge of ERCOT, MISO and SPP market dynamics
- Strong existing relationships and previous lead deal experience with utilities
- Proven experience structuring, negotiating, and executing BESS offtake agreements
- Strong financial modeling, presentation and quantitative analysis skills
- Excellent organization, communication and presentation skills
- People manager with a proven ability to manage direct reports
