General Counsel

• Lead legal strategy and provide hands-on support across the full BESS project lifecycle
• Structure and support the negotiation of key project agreements
• Provide senior legal oversight and strategic direction on permitting, environmental review, land use, and siting matters
• In coordination with esVolta’s government and regulatory affairs team, monitor and advise on ISO/RTO market rules
• Lead or supervise legal support for responses to utility and corporate RFPs
• Advise on commercial arrangements with corporate offtakes, data center and hyperscale customers
• Provide strategic counsel on commercial risk allocation, project bankability, and offtake structuring
• Direct legal due diligence, transaction management, and closing processes for project and portfolio acquisitions
• Serve as primary legal point of contact for lenders, investors, and counterparties on transactional matters
• Partner with the Chief Legal Officer and VP, Deputy General Counsel to develop and implement legal strategies supporting the company’s capital markets and M&A objectives
• Supervise and mentor junior legal team members
• Select, direct, and manage outside counsel engagements.

Assistant General Counsel

• Lead legal support for the full BESS project lifecycle
• Partner with internal stakeholders to structure, draft, and negotiate key project agreements
• Support responses to utility and corporate RFPs
• Advise on procurement, trade, and supply chain matters
• Support legal due diligence and transaction management
• Work effectively with and manage outside counsel
• Monitor market, regulatory, and industry developments

Senior Corporate Counsel

• Lead legal strategy and provide hands-on support across the full BESS project lifecycle

• Supervise and mentor junior legal team members
