About the role
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Monitor and manage support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation of issues and solutions.
- Assist in setting up and configuring new hardware and software for employees, including desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as updates, backups, and system checks, to ensure the smooth operation of IT infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, configurations, and procedures, and update documentation as needed.
- Work closely with the IT team to escalate complex issues and assist in larger projects as required.
Requirements
- You have a strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, MacOS), and common software applications.
- You have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- You’re a clear and transparent communicator and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with non-technical users.
- You’ve demonstrated a strong technical interest, particularly in Cyber Security or related IT fields.
- You’re a systems thinker interested in improving the efficiency of internal team processes and tooling
- You’re detail-oriented and organised
- You can work independently and manage your time effectively
- You like to roll your sleeves up and get your hands dirty wherever you can, and have an eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures
- You’re currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or another related field.
- If you have prior experience in a technical support role, it’s a bonus, but not mandatory.
