About the role

  • Support the Regional Manager with management of the Registered Managers within the designated region
  • Creating and maintaining quality services and long-term placements
  • Ensuring that any home with a vacancy for a Registered Manager is able to run smoothly and without disruption to deliver continuity of service and care
  • Management of budgets – including staffing and maintenance resources
  • Ensuring that staff are recruited and trained according to company policy and relevant legalisation
  • Ensuring that the homes have the correct resources and environment in which children can develop
  • Ensuring that all Esland policies and procedures are implemented and are followed at all times
  • Ensuring that all young people experience a placement experience that is personalised to their particular needs, identified through a robust assessment system and placement matching
  • Keeping effective records, monitoring progress and taking appropriate action to ensure service delivery
  • Conducting staff evaluation & regular supervisions with Registered Managers
  • Liaising with external support agencies
  • Developing a Regional Development Plan and individual Personal Development Plans for all managers and ensuring their implementation

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience managing a residential children’s home
  • Direct knowledge and experience of Ofsted inspections and expectations and a history of obtaining Good and/or Outstanding ratings
  • Excellent communication skills and an initiative-taking approach to all tasks
  • Robust leadership skills
  • Possession of the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services (or equivalent)

  • A full UK driving license and the ability to travel across our homes
