About the role

  • Manage a territory of approximately 25 agencies in sales, underwriting, profitability, and agency management.
  • Support, coach, and motivate Independent Agents to achieve business goals.
  • Recruit, train, and develop new Agents.
  • Serve as an Agent’s knowledge broker on ERIE products.
  • Engage in comprehensive training on field and home office sales operations.
  • Learn the fundamentals of sales management, risk management, and branch account operations.
  • Gain exposure to leadership development, strategic planning, and customer relationship management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, required; or Associate’s degree and two years of sales, underwriting, claims or marketing experience, required; or High school diploma or GED and four years of sales, underwriting, claims or marketing experience, required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software required.
  • Willingness to relocate to other offices required.
  • Frequent travel required.
  • Completion of insurance designations such as CIC or CPCU preferred.
  • Willingness to pursue insurance designations required.
  • Successful completion of Life and Property/Casualty licensing exams required to complete training program.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
