About the role

  • Act as ambassador of Equisoft's employer brand by supporting the employee experience
  • Promote the values and culture of our organization
  • Provide backup support to HRBPs during absences and vacations, ensuring continuity of HR services
  • Independently coach and guide team leads and newly promoted managers on HR processes, policies, and best practices
  • Advise first-time managers through basic performance management issues, including coaching conversations, feedback delivery, and documentation
  • Provide advice and guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and legislation
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide consultation on standard HR matters
  • Support performance management processes and employee development initiatives
  • Contribute to HR initiatives while operating in a supporting capacity
  • Coordinate between employees, managers, and external parties (insurance providers, medical professionals) for all leave types
  • Follow up on expired medical notes and ensure timely renewals
  • Complete and submit long-term disability (LTD) claims and documentation
  • Maintain regular contact with employees on leave, providing support and answering questions
  • Track leave timelines and ensure compliance with legislative requirements
  • Manage return-to-work processes and accommodation planning
  • Maintain accurate leave records and reporting
  • Participate in and contribute to HR projects and initiatives
  • Provide input on the continuous improvement of HR practices, processes, and tools
  • Support change management initiatives and organizational development efforts
  • Stay informed regarding trends in human resources management and labour law
  • Contribute insights and recommendations to HR strategy discussions

Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related field
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, including some generalist experience
  • Strong knowledge of labour and employment laws across multiple jurisdictions (Québec, Ontario, and the United States)
  • Excellent proficiency in French and English (spoken and written)
  • Experience coaching managers or facilitating training sessions is an asset
  • Experience in IT environments or professional services is an asset
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems
  • Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and consultation skills
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant laws, regulations, and policies
  • Strong organizational and case management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities
  • Discretion and ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters
