About the role

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Sales Managers and Account Executives, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and results-oriented culture.
  • Develop and drive the overarching Government Sales Strategy across the UK Public Sector vertical.
  • Set clear team goals, objectives, and KPIs, and conduct regular performance reviews to ensure the team is achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Provide guidance and support to the team on complex government negotiations, strategic planning, and problem-solving.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the team's processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Be accountable for the performance and results of the team, managing sales and revenue quota for the entire government vertical across all product lines.
  • Develop strategic relationships with key UK Public Sector agencies to secure complex revenue opportunities via solution selling.
  • Develop and execute long-range planning and account penetration strategies to grow accounts.
  • Focus on Win-back, Win-from and New to market opportunities; positioning new innovative products and services to meet current and emerging challenges of the UK Government.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities within the Public Sector.
  • Act as the voice of the Public Sector vertical within Equifax UK, advocating for innovation and ability to grow in customer management and collections needs and opportunities.
  • Represent Equifax UK at industry events, conferences, and executive-level forums to promote the company's Public Sector strategy and thought leadership.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in dealing with the government sector or business development at a senior leadership level, ideally within the technology or financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading, managing, and mentoring a team to achieve and exceed business objectives.
  • Demonstrable experience in driving significant revenue growth through strategic and innovative models.
  • Deep understanding of the UK Public Sector market.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, actionable plans and a strong bias for execution.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience in collaborating with and influencing C-level executives.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
