About the role
- Lead the design and evolution of a new event-driven data platform architecture
- Translate stakeholder needs into performant data solutions and partner across the company
- Mentor and inspire engineers, promoting best practices in data modeling and system design
- Champion data maturity across the organization and help teams take ownership of their data
- Provide strategic technical guidance and hands-on contributions while reporting to the VP of Engineering
- Work closely with senior leaders to define technical roadmap and improve data quality and engineering practices
Requirements
- Deep experience in Data and Software Engineering with a proven track record of leading complex technical projects
- Experience with Event-Driven Architecture
- Experience with BigQuery and DBT
- Strong skills in system design and data architecture
- Experience with GCP is a plus
- Strategic mindset prioritizing impactful technical improvements over short-term gains
- Passion for building engineering culture and raising technical and data quality standards
- Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills for cross-functional work
- Bonus: Experience with Snowplow, Looker, Go and Python
