About the role
- Conduct outbound sales calls, emails, and follow-up outreach to qualified leads and prospects across multiple healthcare business lines
- Present and explain Unity’s self-funded insurance solutions and Kindred’s Direct Primary Care model to businesses, organizations, and individuals
- Engage prospects in consultative conversations to uncover needs, qualify opportunities, and guide them to the right Epic solution
- Convert inbound leads and referrals into booked appointments, proposals, or enrollments, depending on the line of business
- Manage a high volume of daily activities, including outbound calls, scheduled appointments, pipeline updates, and follow-ups
- Track all interactions and sales progress in the CRM to ensure accurate data entry and pipeline visibility
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline through cold calling, warm calling, networking lists, digital leads, and company-provided prospecting tools
- Present solutions virtually or by phone, moving prospects from early-stage interest to proposals or enrollment discussions
- Follow structured sales workflows to ensure timely follow-up and maximize conversion
- Work closely with the BPO Team Lead, Director of BPO, and Unity/Kindred leadership to move deals efficiently through the sales funnel
- Partner with marketing, community outreach, and outside sales teams for lead hand-offs and coordinated sales efforts
- Support appointment-setting for larger enterprise, municipal, or strategic opportunities when needed
- Provide feedback on lead quality, objection trends, and market insights to refine scripts and sales approaches
- Participate in ongoing sales training, role plays, and certification initiatives across all Epic BPO programs
Requirements
- 1–3+ years of inside sales or call-center sales experience (healthcare, insurance, or benefits sales preferred)
- Strong communication skills, professional phone presence, and consultative selling ability
- Comfort with high outbound call volume and activity-based performance metrics
- Experience selling solutions, ideally in a regulated or service-based environment
- Ability to learn and confidently explain healthcare and insurance concepts with training
- CRM experience and strong organizational skills to manage a sales pipeline effectively
- Motivated, competitive, and eager to grow into advanced sales or leadership roles as the BPO scales
