About the role

  • Contribute to a variety of environmental projects across the western U.S.
  • Supporting environmental monitoring and assessment projects using remote sensing, geospatial data, and field-collected information
  • Assisting with processing, interpreting, and integrating remotely sensed data into project workflows
  • Supporting field data collection efforts, including the safe operation of sampling equipment, GPS units, tablets/smartphones, and job-specific field tools
  • Collaborating with ESA scientists, planners, GIS analysts, and technologists to support client deliverables and reporting
  • Participating in data quality control, documentation, and project coordination activities

Requirements

  • 0–5 years of experience in a relevant academic and/or professional scientific or environmental consulting environment
  • Preference given to candidates with 2+ years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of relevant, college-level coursework and applied experience in computer science, geography, natural resources, or a related field
  • Comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams and contributing to fast-paced consulting projects that involve both office-based analysis and fieldwork
  • Ability to pass federal and state background checks for project-based assignments
