About the role

  • Lead and oversee the company’s litigation and pre-litigation portfolio, including demand letters, subpoenas, and regulatory inquiries
  • Set litigation strategy, supervise outside counsel performance, and manage litigation budgets
  • Advise executive leadership on exposure, risk mitigation, settlement strategy, and business impact
  • Oversee internal investigations and alternative dispute resolution proceedings as needed
  • Serve as senior legal advisor on a full range of employment matters
  • Partner closely with HR leadership to proactively identify and mitigate employment-related risk
  • Support development and implementation of employment policies and training
  • Support board and committee governance processes
  • Oversee subsidiary management, entity compliance, and assist with regulatory filings
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for complex commercial agreements
  • Advise business leaders on contract risk allocation and negotiation strategy
  • Provide cross-functional legal counsel to minimize enterprise risk and enable business growth
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active bar membership and good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 6-10 years of legal experience, including exposure to litigation and employment counseling
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and supervise outside counsel effectively
  • Strong business judgment and ability to provide clear, risk-based advice to senior leaders
  • Excellent analytical, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
