About the role
- Reporting to the President, Capital Division, serve as the primary liaison for a portfolio of approximately 100 EPF sponsors
- Oversee a team of three Relationship Managers, ensuring consistent, high-quality client service and coordinated risk management
- Shape and execute an enhanced strategic plan for EPF client intake, product deployment, and post-closing asset and risk management
- Collaborate closely with product line leaders and staff to strengthen processes and improve client outcomes
- Manage a financially sustainable budget and business model; lead cross-divisional collaboration on fundraising, communications, data and analytics, and policy
- Function as the primary point of contact for EPF’s most sophisticated participants, ensuring ongoing thought leadership and responsive support
- Drive strategic client growth, team development, and financial performance
- Provide feedback loop to business lines on challenges and opportunities for improvement
Requirements
- A minimum of 15 years of work experience
- Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree in business, finance, real estate, urban planning, or related field preferred
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and critical thinking skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Proven track record overseeing complex client portfolios and delivering high-quality client service
- Experience managing client-facing teams, ideally within financial services, community development finance, or related sectors preferred
- Experience in risk management, investment oversight, and resolving distressed or workout situations
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning, business development, and cross-functional collaboration
- Strong finance and real estate experience including strong experience in underwriting within a CDFI or private lending context
- Familiarity with a range of federal, state, and local community development programs that finance affordable housing and other real estate assets strongly desired
