About the role
- travel to customer facilities to lead, manage, and provide hands-on work regarding the process of disassembly, repair, and assembly of different subassemblies or complete mechanical and/or forging presses.
- Ensure team is performing work in a safe manner, wearing all required PPE at all times.
- Lead, manage, and supervise both customer and Enprotech employees in any maintenance and press repair actions.
- Act as a customer site liaison for daily activities and planning.
- Assemble, repair, and rebuild manufacturing equipment from component parts in accordance with standard operating procedures to customer specifications.
- Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
- Disassemble and reassemble of metal forming presses which also requires rigging, fitting, scraping, grinding, adjustment, etc.
- Install lubrication blocks, lines, and general plumbing (i.e., pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.).
- Troubleshoot hydraulic lubrication systems to determine necessary repairs to regain functionality.
- Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
- Prepare and utilize basic hand tools including but not limited to ratchets, impacts, torque multipliers, hydraulic torque wrenches, magnetic drills, and hydraulic jacks.
- Verify that parts are prepped, deburred, and free from defect prior to assembly.
- Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards using process inspection tools and devices.
- Operate small lathes and mills to polish small parts and make keys.
- Operate cranes, forklifts, and other rigging equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to troubleshoot machines to diagnose problems.
- Demonstrate knowledge of basic electrical codes including knowledge of pulling wire, electrical components, switches, high voltage, and control centers.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, plans, and operating manuals.
- Ability to fit fluid lines and pipes.
- Ability to assemble and disassemble parts and systems.
- Ability to “think outside the box” and figure out problems associated with production operations.
- Must be able to verbally communicate with team members, supervisors, and Engineers.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces.
- Must be able to work with solvents, oils, and grease.
