About the role
- Provide strong, people‑focused leadership at our Niagara service site
- Oversee operations for a 77‑turbine wind farm
- Lead a team of eight technicians
- Cultivate a positive team culture through coaching‑oriented leadership approach
- Strengthen the relationship with the site owner
- Ensure operational excellence
- Support the broader regional service network
- Promote and uphold ENERCON’s Health & Safety program
- Ensure compliance with OH&S legislation
- Supervise daily maintenance activities, ensuring turbine uptime and reliability
- Coordinate weekly work planning, shift scheduling, high‑wind operations, and on‑call rotations
- Manage site budgets and prepare turbine performance reports
- Oversee inventory control and procurement
- Serve as the primary operational contact for the site owner/customer.
Requirements
- Post‑secondary diploma in Electrical, Electromechanical, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years experience in leading technical teams, including 3 years in field‑based maintenance or operations
- Strong electrical and/or mechanical experience; wind turbine experience is an asset
- Demonstrated people‑leadership, coaching, and communication skills
- Strong problem‑solving, prioritization, and decision‑making abilities in field environments
- Proficiency with MS Office particularly with Excel and other operational tools (SCADA and ERP/CMMS platforms (e.g., SAP) is an asset)
- Clear, professional communication with technicians, customers, and stakeholders
- Ability to climb and work at heights, and to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s licence for travel
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
