About the role
- Assist in preparing and analyzing cost reports and budgets
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Monitor and report on manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and cost variances
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to understand cost drivers
- Maintain cost accounting records and documentation
- Help identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement
- Participate in internal audits and compliance reviews
- Prepare and input accounting journal entries, documentation and financial reporting data to support accurate & timely financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and corporate financial policies.
- Prepare account reconciliations and reviews, to ensure proper balance sheet valuation and reporting.
- Prepare and communicate monthly analysis of manufacturing variances and recommend actions for improvement
- Partner with site operations to develop and review standards costs & product cost performance
- Assist with asset audits and internal control reviews, including documentation, to ensure effective financial controls.
- Support the Annual Physical inventory count and periodic cycle counts.
- Assist in identifying and driving best in class process improvement strategies for North America sites
- Support system updates and maintenance.
- Update process documentation including accounting policies and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Zero (0) years of related experience
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or related field (preferred)
- High level of integrity and accountability with results-orientation and a strong ability for prioritization (preferred)
- Strong technology skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (preferred)
- Ability to partner effectively with business leaders, including strong (internal) customer service skills (preferred)
- Ability to effectively work with individuals remotely (through telecommunications) (preferred)
- Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (Manufacturing and Financials) (preferred)
