About the role
- Review and augment current system security packages, including system security plans, in coordination with technical leads
- Evaluate IT systems, COTS software, and integration strategies to ensure compliance with cybersecurity and program requirements
- Translate business needs into technical specifications using structured analysis and design methodologies
- Assess risks, costs, and impacts associated with security implementations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain, update, and validate cybersecurity documentation
- Support security package submission and review processes for federal health IT programs
- Assist technical experts in implementing enhancements and ensuring regulatory compliance
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional work experience
- Experience analyzing, designing, and integrating information systems and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software
- Proficiency in structured analysis and design methodologies to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Ability to evaluate cost, risk, and compliance factors for IT systems
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related technical discipline (or 8 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)
