About the role
- Achieve sales objectives in assigned territory through development, maintenance, and enhancement of the business
- Call on oncologists, urologists, nurses, pharmacists, P&T groups, teaching institutions, hospitals and formulary committees
- Provide clinical conviction, training, contracting, technology troubleshooting and ongoing customer service for Company products
- Develop territory business plans and collaborate with sales management to maximize sales and marketing plans
- Identify and develop relationships with non-prescribing influencers (CEOs, CFOs, Nurse Navigators, injecting nurses, office managers, etc.)
- Manage implementation and training for Tolmar’s proprietary Inventory Management System in accounts
- Communicate and partner with other AMRs for overlapping accounts
- Evaluate and monitor sales data weekly and prepare annual business plans with quarterly analysis
- Maintain CRM/database with sales call information, sampling data and territory performance
- Promote appropriate on-label use and deliver clinical/technical product information
- Attend trade shows, community events and company meetings; travel as required
- Follow Administrative Expectations: submit expense reports, enter sales calls in CRM, log car mileage, maintain company car, manage promotional budget
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science, business or related field
- Two or more years of successful business-to-business sales experience (24+ months), preferably in the urology industry
- Pharmaceutical/buy-and-bill sales experience preferred
- Experience navigating 340B sales
- Experience calling on hospitals and health-related organizations
- Clinical experience helpful
- Consistent track record of exceeding sales quotas
- Ability to be approved and insured to drive company car, valid driver’s license and good driving history
- Reside centrally within the territory
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills and strategic thinking
- Advanced organization, follow-up, negotiation and selling skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Availability for overnight travel up to 50% and travel by air as required
- Ability to work extra hours and on weekends as necessary
