About the role

  • Independently manage and negotiate commercial contracts across the Americas, with a strong focus on SaaS customer agreements with enterprise and financial institution (representing ~90% of your workload), as well as supplier and partnership agreements
  • Be the primary legal business partner for our Americas Sales and Revenue teams, supporting the entire contract lifecycle from RFI through to execution, while managing legal risk in a balanced, business-focused way
  • Work directly and effectively with Senior Leadership, Sales, and Revenue Operations teams
  • Provide clear, practical legal advice to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Provide occasional support to the UK-based Head of Legal on non-commercial legal matters

Requirements

  • **Our ideal candidate has:**
  • - Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • - Comfortable being the only legal representative in the US, with regular collaboration with the UK Legal team.
  • - Thrive in a high-autonomy environment and enjoy taking ownership of your domain.
  • - Pragmatic, commercial, and solutions-oriented.
  • - Has at least three years of post-bar / legal experience(or similar relevant experience), with a strong background in SaaS and commercial contracts
  • - Has proven experience negotiating SoWs, DPAs, and commercial agreements with enterprise clients and/or financial institutions
  • - Understands key issues of intellectual property and data protection in the US context
  • - Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • - Is based in New York and available to attend the New York office at least two days a week
  • **Bonus Points for:**
  • - Prior in-house experience
  • - Experience working with SaaS technology contracts
  • - Familiarity with legal tech tools such as CLM’s.
