About the role
- Execute billing activities across the Invoice-to-Cash lifecycle, including contract setup, invoicing, credit and rebill processing, and billing adjustments.
- Review contract terms and ensure billing details are accurately reflected in the financial system.
- Input and maintain accurate contract and financial data related to revenue, invoicing schedules, and payment terms.
- Validate billing information to support proper revenue recognition and financial accuracy.
- Ensure accuracy of MRR/ARR-impacting billing events such as upgrades, downgrades, cancellations, and renewals.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as Finance, Revenue Operations, Sales, and Professional Services to ensure billing requirements are understood and executed correctly.
- Monitor billing deadlines and ensure invoices are issued in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Provide responsive and professional service when supporting internal and external customer inquiries related to billing.
- Identify opportunities to improve billing processes, reduce manual work, and increase operational efficiency.
- Contribute to team discussions and support initiatives that enhance accuracy, consistency, and scalability of billing operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and company objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- C1-level English proficiency (CEFR), with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 3–5 years of experience in billing, revenue operations, accounts receivable, accounting, or a related finance function.
- 3–5 years of experience working with NetSuite and Salesforce ERPs.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to review financial data for accuracy and completeness.
- Comprehensive understanding of billing processes and the Invoice-to-Cash lifecycle.
- Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, including advanced formulas such as XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and logical functions.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to resolve billing issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to financial controls and confidentiality.
- Ability to travel up <10% as business needs require.
- Role requires the following physical capacity: Sedentary: primarily desk/computer work.
