About the role

  • Develop and execute comprehensive territory business plan & territory ownership to achieve and exceed sales targets for cardiometabolic products.
  • Build, cultivate, and sustain strong, credible relationships with family physicians, specialists, pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in hospitals, clinics, and community practices.
  • Communicate complex clinical and scientific information effectively, demonstrating strong knowledge of Lilly’s cardiometabolic portfolio, disease states, and therapeutic positioning.
  • Identify customer needs and deliver tailored, value‑added solutions using a needs‑based customer interaction model and multi‑channel engagement strategies.
  • Demonstrated digital fluency with the ability to leverage omnichannel engagement strategies—including virtual platforms, CRM systems, and data‑driven insights tools—to deliver personalized, high‑impact customer interactions and optimize territory performance.
  • Analyze territory data, market trends, and competitive insights to inform strategy, optimize resource allocation, and maximize performance.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and internal partners—to ensure a coordinated customer experience.
  • Manage territory resources and budgets responsibly while adhering to company policies, compliance standards, and ethical guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and timely documentation through CRM systems such as Veeva.
  • Actively participate in regional and national meetings, training programs, and industry conferences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience, with a preference for experience in cardiometabolic, diabetes, or related therapeutic areas.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in competitive markets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make sound strategic decisions.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment while contributing effectively to team success.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems (e.g., Veeva), and data insights tools (IQVIA, Tableau).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to travel throughout the Northwest GTA territory.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian healthcare system and pharmaceutical landscape is an asset.
  • Experience working with specialists and thought leaders is advantageous.
