About the role
- Own the full operational lifecycle from supplier sourcing to product delivery, accountable for cost, quality, and throughput
- Design and implement scalable processes for supply chain, inventory management, manufacturing, fulfillment, and logistics
- Lead the evolution from human-led to semi-automated operations in collaboration with automation and AI teams
- Develop and execute global sourcing strategy including vendor selection, negotiation, and long-term relationship management
- Build operational resilience through supply redundancy, quality standards, and risk mitigation practices
- Oversee warehousing, inventory planning, and fulfillment to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction at scale
- Lead rollout and integration of planning, MRP, inventory tracking, and order management systems
- Partner with technical teams to integrate automation and robotics into key workflows and ensure systems are fit-for-scale
- Build and lead a high-performing operations team and set performance expectations across internal teams and external partners
- Collaborate closely with the COO and cross-functional teams as the most senior on-site operations leader
Requirements
- Operational leadership in a regulated sector (diagnostics, food tech, medical devices, or consumer health hardware)
- Experience scaling physical product operations from tens to thousands of units/month, ideally in a startup moving from Series A to C
- Track record of building from scratch: systems, teams, processes, and vendor networks
- Hands-on leadership of internal teams and external partners, including contract manufacturers, suppliers, and logistics providers
- Strong command of operational systems (e.g., MRP, inventory, production tracking) and their role in manufacturing and fulfillment at scale
- Experience developing and executing global sourcing strategies, vendor selection, negotiation, and long-term relationship management
- Experience building operational resilience through supply redundancy, quality standards, and risk mitigation
- Ability to lead rollout of planning, MRP, inventory tracking, and order management systems and integrate automation/robotics
