About the role
- Coordinate and direct Medicaid growth and engagement initiatives.
- Ensure marketing plans within the region meet state contractual requirements.
- Develop and implement individual health plan Community Relations Strategy.
- Collaborate to create robust value-added benefits to improve quality outcomes, including member selection and engagement approaches.
- Drive member retention and loyalty programs.
- Lead efforts to develop key partnerships that drive innovation and growth.
- Collaborate with all Elevance Health businesses in Texas to drive growth.
- Audit website and relevant vendor relationships; provide oversight and performance management.
- Research and evaluate competitive activity.
- Implement tracking mechanisms for daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly activities and productivity.
- Develop and conduct staff training methods.
- Recommend product modifications or improvements derived from market research, technical service work, or Marketing feedback.
- Develop and recommend department operating budgets; secure approval of objectives, policies, and programs; evaluate and report results.
- Partner with brand management to identify appropriate media opportunities.
- Prepare presentations regarding marketing and outreach programs for senior management groups.
- Hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate the performance of direct reports.
- Travel as required.
Requirements
- Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 8 years of related experience including prior leadership experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Experience in working with the Texas Medicaid population (STAR, CHIP, STAR+PLUS, STAR Kids, ACA, D-SNP) preferred.
- Managed Care Health Plan experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills preferred.
- Project management certification preferred.
- Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) preferred.
- Prior leadership/people management experience (hiring, training, coaching, counseling, evaluating direct reports).
- Ability to travel as required.
- Must be in-office 3 days per week; candidates not within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location will not be considered unless an accommodation is granted as required by law.
