About the role

  • Community Outreach Manager – MyCare Ohio to deliver high‐quality, trauma informed, culturally competent, person‐centered coordination for members addressing physical health, behavioral health, long term services and supports, and psychosocial needs.
  • Develop, implement, and manage community outreach and retention strategies across five state regions to achieve marketing and retention goals focusing on member education, outreach, and orientation.
  • Engage members to mitigate disenrollment, resolve complex member issues, and assist in accessing correct care.
  • Create opportunities with events and presentations to reach and educate the community on company programs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with community leaders, organizations, and churches and act as resource for organizations interested in company programs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships and execute growth and retention strategies with providers within assigned territories.
  • Conduct community based new member intake and orientation.
  • Measure and track results through score carding and identify root causes to meet retention targets within specific regions within the state.
  • Track outreach activities, including referrals, partnerships, and event attendance, and report on progress toward outreach goals.
  • Gather feedback from community members and partners to continually improve outreach strategies and program delivery.
  • Create marketing materials to support members and community education of benefits.
  • Deliver presentations, attend meetings, and distribute educational materials to members and non-members.
  • Meet and present to county and community officials.
  • Develop and manage regional budgets.
  • Organize and lead member and community feedback meetings across all regions, quarterly.
  • 30%-40% travel required within the state, variable travel as needed.

Requirements

  • Requires a BA/BS degree in sociology, psychology, social work, public health, nursing or other related discipline and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Bilingual skills preferred.
  • Management experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse populations and build strong relationships with community leaders.
  • Experience in community outreach and engagement.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience and ability to use all Microsoft Office products, including Excel (intermediate level), Outlook, Word, and SharePoint.
