About the role
- Serve as the primary RN overseeing hospice care plans within your assigned caseload
- Perform comprehensive assessments addressing physical, emotional, psychosocial, and spiritual needs
- Partner closely with physicians, social workers, aides, chaplains, and therapists to deliver holistic care
- Educate and support families through disease progression and end-of-life transitions
- Provide symptom management, comfort measures, and compassionate presence
- Document care accurately while upholding regulatory and ethical standards
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Active Michigan RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience (hospice or home health strongly preferred)
- A calm, compassionate approach to complex situations
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance
- Ability to meet the physical demands of home-based care
