About the role
- Develop and implement a global safety and health strategy aligned with company goals and sustainability objectives.
- Develop and manage global safety programs including hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident prevention.
- Supervise and ensure adherence to safety and health regulations at international, national, and local levels.
- Provide global oversight to investigations of safety incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and lead corrective actions.
- Manage cross-functional teams and engage with site leaders, HR, legal, and operations to integrate safety into business processes.
- Coordinate global safety training programs and establish benchmarks and dashboards to monitor safety performance.
- Promote psychological safety, diversity, equity, proactive risk management, and employee engagement in safety culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or related field (Master’s or equivalent experience preferred).
- Over a decade of advancing experience in health and safety.
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership position on a global scale.
- Deep understanding of international safety regulations and standards.
- Proven ability to lead cross-cultural teams and drive global initiatives.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaborator management skills.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and global initiatives.
- International travel required.
