About the role
- Build, manage, and scale ESS’s Inside Sales function.
- Design and execute outbound prospecting strategies to generate qualified leads across K-12 districts nationwide.
- Partner with Marketing and Sales leadership to align campaigns, messaging, and territory coverage.
- Set clear activity and performance metrics, monitoring results through Salesforce and other sales enablement tools.
- Ensure consistent pipeline growth by driving disciplined prospecting, lead nurturing, and opportunity creation.
- Provide coaching and ongoing development to Inside Sales Representatives to improve call quality, conversion rates, and quota attainment.
- Oversee the creation of proposals and presentations that clearly articulate ESS’s value proposition.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including clinical, operations, and marketing—to ensure seamless handoff of qualified opportunities.
- Report on performance metrics, forecasts, and trends to senior leadership.
- Maintain a strong personal understanding of the K-12 education market, district decision-making structures, and ESS’s service offerings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 7+ years of inside sales experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven success in building and managing inside sales teams that consistently meet or exceed quotas.
- Experience in education, healthcare, or mission-driven services strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to inspire, coach, and influence.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using CRM systems (Salesforce strongly preferred).
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
