- Lead engineering projects to shape U.S. Air Force missions
- Translate client legacy products into technologically advanced avionics and electrical systems
- Translate real-world needs into technical specifications and customer-focused engineering solutions
- Design, develop, and evolve avionics systems using advanced technology solutions
- Merge engineering knowledge with aircraft avionics systems to improve aircraft capabilities
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams on aerospace avionics and electrical systems
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience with aircraft systems
- Experience with mission communication systems such as UHF SATCOM, legacy USC-42, and associated C3 systems
- Experience with airborne phone integration with executive communication protocols
- Experience maintaining Red / Black separation
- Knowledge of Commercial Derivative Aircraft (CDA) systems
- Secret clearance required (applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation)
- HS diploma or GED
- Nice to have: Experience with diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages
- Nice to have: Experience with Integrated Master Schedules
- Nice to have: Experience with heavy maintenance or programmed depot maintenance for commercial derivatives
- Nice to have: Knowledge of electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
- Nice to have: Knowledge of U.S. Air Force acquisition processes, and military specifications and standards
- Nice to have: Knowledge of the U.S. Air Force Airworthiness process and Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS & E)
- Nice to have: Ability to design and analyze power systems and create engineering drawings
- Nice to have: Top Secret clearance
