About the role
- Support the KC-46 military navigation systems including requirements development/verification, technical subcontract management (TSM), hardware/software integration, technical issue resolution, Lab/Aircraft testing, and FAA/Military airworthiness certification
- Lead work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements
- Lead and coordinate analysis to translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications
- Lead test and validation efforts to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
- Oversee and monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
- Solve problems and provide support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
- Research technology advances for potential application to company business needs and make recommendations for technological investments
- Manage technical subcontractors and support Lab and Aircraft testing/certification activities
- Work 100% onsite at Everett, WA or Tukwila, WA depending on employee preference
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 8+ years combined educational and technical experience in electrical engineering, RF engineering, avionics, computer science, or related fields
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start required
- Export control compliance: must meet "U.S. Person" definition per 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
- Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
- Preferred: Experience with IFF system
- Preferred: Experience with military GPS system
- Preferred: Experience with TACAN system
- Preferred: Experience performing Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process and implementing corrective actions
- Preferred: Experience with FAA airworthiness certification
- Preferred: Experience with Military airworthiness certification
- Preferred: Experience with Equipment Manager Responsibilities for Avionics Line Replaceable Units (LRUs)
- Preferred: Experience with MIL-STD-1553 data bus analysis
- Must be able to work 1st shift and be onsite at one of the listed locations
