About the role
- Identify, source and develop new business opportunities utilizing the Fulton sales strategies
- Conduct thorough research to understand potential clients' needs, challenges, and financial goals
- Develop and execute effective prospecting strategies to expand the client base
- Apply advanced negotiation and relationship management skills and analyze financial statements to assess risk
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing business clients as primary point of contact for banking needs
- Expand and identify new loan, deposit and other financial services opportunities within existing client base
- Regularly engage with clients to understand business model, cash flow and evolving requirements and provide tailored financial solutions
- Provide annual relationship reviews to understand client needs and future plans
- Serve as a trusted advisor and counsel clients on cash management, financing, investment opportunities, and other financial matters
- Focus on driving continuous improvement in portfolio revenue growth and new production revenue and achieve sales goals within risk tolerance
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and partners to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients
- Monitor and assess the performance of the client portfolio, identifying opportunities for growth and risk mitigation
- Proactively address client issues ensuring prompt resolution and high satisfaction
- Utilize CRM tools and other systems to maintain accurate records of client interactions and transactions
- Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and internal policies governing business banking activities and conduct due diligence on new clients
- Ensure compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures and mitigate lending and transaction risks
- Stay informed of current products, industry trends and cultivate regional strategic partnerships
- Perform a variety of business development activities and maintain a stable network of prospective customers with consistent calling approach
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent experience (Specialty: Business Administration or related field) (Required)
- 6 or more years Business or Commercial Banking, Consumer Banking or Small Business Banking experience (Required)
- 2 or more years Demonstrated Sales or Relationship Management Experience (Required)
- 2 or more years Managing a complex portfolio of clients (Required)
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build rapport and trust with clients (Required)
- Proven results in establishing new business relationships and retaining/growing existing relationships (Required)
- Proficiency in CRM software and leveraging technology to drive results (Required)
- In-depth knowledge of Business Banking products and services and ability to analyze financial statements and assess risk (Required)
- Excellent negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to influence others and achieve desired outcomes (Required)
- Ability to leverage technology to interact with clients effectively and efficiently (Required)
- Ability to balance needs of clients with associated risks and interests of the company (Required)
- Proven track record of client acquisition and retention and ability to execute on strategic plans (Required)
- Strong problem-solving skills; highly collaborative, organized, and effective time management skills (Required)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for a work visa by Fulton Bank
- Flexibility for frequent travel within assigned markets as needed
- Accountable for completing compliance training and adhering to company compliance programs, KYC and AML procedures
