Field-based role working directly with hospital executives, cardiovascular service line leaders, physicians, and US payers to support transcatheter tricuspid and mitral therapies (TMTT)
Develop and lead implementation of health economics and reimbursement strategies for assigned business unit
Work with hospital cardiac service line leaders and administrators to ensure successful onboarding and continued use of TMTT therapies by educating and delivering the health economic value of the therapies
Work collaboratively with US payers and hospitals to address policy and reimbursement barriers and serve as regional market access and reimbursement expert for internal partners
Establish relationships with sales reps to gain access to key accounts and identify targeted customers
Provide education to field sales teams around health economics and develop tools and lead GHER specific programs (e.g., health care leadership series)
Present GHER information at broader programs and other EW offerings and work directly with hospitals to gain access to portfolios
Provide complex analyses on hospital-specific data related to technology and utilization and partner with sales reps to provide business reviews for hospitals
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in life science, health economics, health policy, or related field
12 years of related experience required OR an MBA or MPH with 10 years of previous related experience
Experience working with customers (primarily hospitals and physicians), trade associations, professional and medical organizations
Ability to develop mutually beneficial health economics and reimbursement strategies and tactics to support portfolio planning, commercialization, and sales/marketing objectives
Experience in health economics and/or outcomes research and reimbursement (preferred)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related tools and systems
Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management
Proven successful project management skills
Expert understanding of key public and private payer policy infrastructure, medical device payment methodologies, coding and coverage basics, and/or health policy trends
Expert understanding of medical device industry with functional responsibility in reimbursement planning, program implementation, and health economics and outcomes research
COVID-19 vaccination required for patient-facing and in-hospital positions unless medical or religious accommodation granted (where not prohibited by law)
