About the role
- Oversee and grow a portfolio of strategic merchants by implementing commercial initiatives designed to drive consistent year-over-year revenue growth;
- Develop and drive a pipeline of new products, market expansion, and share-of-checkout opportunities to increase volume and revenue within a global strategic merchant relationship;
- Build and maintain trusted relationships, acting as the voice of the customer: understanding their priorities, pain points, and expansion plans, and communicating these effectively across internal cross-functional teams;
- Ensure outstanding internal and external communication — address client demands, convey compelling value propositions, and communicate EBANX’s product roadmap or sensitive updates clearly;
- Monitor, measure, and propose strategies to continually improve merchant performance, payment method optimization, market penetration, and brand advancement;
- Collaborate closely with a diverse cross-functional team (product, marketing, operations, risk, legal, finance) to maximize merchant satisfaction and advocacy;
- Maintain a strong understanding of our competitive landscape and business strategy;
- Diligently report on sales pipeline progression within Salesforce, requiring strong organization and accuracy;
- Provide feedback to leadership on how to optimize the sales cycle, enhance sales channels, and strengthen brand positioning;
- Represent EBANX and its values with professionalism and positivity at all times;
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Key Account Manager with a consistent record of exceeding targets.
- Previous experience of 5 years in the payments industry.
- Deep understanding of merchant payment environments and needs.
- Proven relationship building skills.
- Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and solid organizational ability.
- Proven experience using Salesforce CRM to manage pipelines, forecast revenue, and maintain sales discipline.
- Self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Tenacious, resilient, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and persuasion skills.
- Strong planning, prioritization, and time management discipline.
- Valid passport and willingness to travel (up to 30% of the time).
- Fluent English. A secondary language is a plus (Portuguese, Spanish, etc).
- Based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
