About the role

  • Get close to the market quickly, source and close new business, develop current accounts through portfolio selling and exceed targets across all products
  • Work within a rapidly growing industrial sector with opportunities for travel to exhibitions and competitor events
  • Account management of current client base assigned, being their main point of contact and ensuring the success of their investment
  • Direct impact on portfolio growth by sourcing new exhibitors and advertisers
  • Ownership of own clients and prospects, building trusting and lasting relationships
  • Represent the portfolio as an Advanced Engineering ambassador at competitor events
  • Retain customers year on year by building relationships and improving event ROI
  • Understand and be involved in all elements of the event campaign, working closely with marketing and operations to support project management and event success
  • Development of career with numerous training opportunities offered by Easyfairs

Requirements

  • Personable with excellent communication skills, both written and interpersonal – create strategic proposals, hold face-to-face meetings and telephone calls with prospects
  • Consultative approach to sales with an interest in creating the right opportunity for the client
  • Big picture thinking, adaptability and resilience – input into the shape of the products and understanding of business growth strategy
  • Ability and interest in performing research to identify new business opportunities and keep up to date with the latest in the industry
  • Team player – work closely with team to support portfolio growth while meeting personal targets
  • Essential: Entry level position although experience working in a customer facing role is strongly preferred (retail, hospitality etc)
  • Essential: Ambitious and driven individual who takes pride in owning a project and strives for the best outcome at all times
  • Essential: KPI driven, viewing KPIs and targets as opportunity to exceed performance
  • Preferred: Experience working within the events industry is desirable
