About the role
- Oversee the centralized consumer underwriting process which includes supervising the consumer lending team to maximize productivity, efficiency, including hiring, training, directing job assignments, monitoring, and documenting staff performance.
- Assist in management of indirect lending program which may include vendor due diligence and vendor management of ancillary lending products.
- Identify areas of improvement to create more efficient processes; incorporate improvement measures.
- Perform underwriting when needed to approve or deny consumer loan applications.
- Assist with the loan reporting responsibilities up to and including board level reporting.
Requirements
- Five years to eight years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
- A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school equivalent to approximately 64 credit hours.
- Must have knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations that affect consumer loans is required.
- Knowledge of consumer loan policies, procedures, products, and services.
- Must also have strong MicroSoft Office skills including preparing spreadsheets and reports.
