About the role

  • Develop a portfolio of customers, prospects and Centers of Influence (COIs) through networking and other business development efforts.
  • Sell bank products to new and existing customers.
  • Partner with assigned branches for cross sale opportunities and customer relationship management.
  • Manage relationships externally with key Community Partners to leverage programs, tools and resources that can assist Business Banking customers grow and make their business more profitable.
  • Source, evaluate and recommend new Business Banking opportunities for loan and deposit relationships, including Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) relationships.
  • Manage a portfolio of Business Banking clients to help minimize risk for the bank, cross sell to the book of business and create a positive customer experience.
  • Coordinate calling and relationship management activities with multiple internal business partners including commercial, investments, treasury, retail, and insurance.
  • Conduct preliminary underwriting and structure of credit requests.
  • Maintain internal Bank contact management system including full history.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of training and related experience required.
  • Five-to-eight years of sales and management experience.
  • Must have a basic understanding of commercial businesses and banking.
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of credit with some prior credit training and sales training.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sales skills in a fast paced environment.
  • Able to utilize full range of prospecting sales activities.
  • Technologically proficient.
  • Candidate must be able to attend networking and other events outside of customary business hours.
  • Must be a self starter and able to self generate sales prospects and pipeline.
